What is the good life? And what is life mastery?

Many engage in a thought experiment, partly for fun and partly out of genuine interest, to determine what defines a good life.

What does this thought experiment consist in? It consists in imagining in what words, when we already feel we have arrived at the end of life, we would summarize the life we have lived.

“We achieve life mastery first when we fulfill the necessities of life and thus the core of adulthood through action intelligence and self-reliance, and we then deepen our life mastery in its degree and quality when we realize some, many or all of the life dimensions that make life more valuable and fulfilling through deeper mastery and dynamization of the most important life skills, through a more mature adulthood and growth, in other words.

In all this happening, one human reality dimension stands out in particular: the existence and the meaning of emotions and emotionality. Because: Emotions are not everything, but without emotions everything is nothing. Without them, the pleasant and the unpleasant would not exist. And the pleasant and the unpleasant determine the essence and quality of our being, generate all motivations and therefore guide all our actions.

Where do our emotions come from? Or what is their source?”
